Kicking off in January 2013

This has been a slowly developing project between learning Photoshop and Photoshop Light Room. The big delay is been the light equipment .  But things are looking up.

Still finalizing the blog’s look using the limited tool set of Google, but it’s free so no complaints. There was the incident today of the hard drive crashing on the 64-bit Toshiba all in one. Had to reimage and reload everything. Family fled the house and has not returned and the dogs are in hiding. The cat knows I’ve lost my mind but she’s a cat so it’s familiar territory.

Despite all this progress is being made. The first story which is set to be published in January is with Kat G., a modest, head strong six foot tall beauty who is a true free spirit. And she has the sensuality and aura of Ava Gardner.

Second up for January is a new group known as Sovereign Dame which performs in Tulsa 28 Dec. Go to Facebook, https://www.facebook.com/events/111447319021757/  and their FB site https://www.facebook.com/SovereignDame .
The lead writer, singer is @Felicia Andrews, a sweet modern day single mom whose first love is family, and then music. She is a charismatic dynamic force of one and that just her as a person and not a performer. And she is a NERD too boot.

Also in January, maybe, are two conservative, but formerly wild and crazy sisters.   Shhhhhh. They’re Republicans.

Oklahoma's Tattoo Portal

Welcome to Tales from the Human Canvass in Oklahoma City.

Every person passing through this mortal portal has a story they might want to share. In today's society there is a growing number of people who portray their story by displaying it on their living canvass.

To the left is one of those canvas stories portrayed by a young woman who is not identified here. The photo is by St. Louis photographer Brian Cummings. The ink artist and this woman's stories are not known to this blog.

For more of his work see http://www.behance.net/gallery/Bodies-Of-Work--Series-4/214013 .

The advent of social media is being utilized as the tool for these authors and their artists. Yellow Pages dot com lists 47 separate tattoo shops in Oklahoma City. Some are good, some are bad and some may be downright horrible.

This blog is dedicated to the insight of the human canvass, what their ink display is about. Behind every tattoo there is a story whether it be one of joy, memories that are tragic or priceless. Tattoos are very private and this blog will tell the story behind each canvass. It shall also carry the news of the latest trends of Oklahoma ink artists in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

In future blogs I hope to interview the different artists and shop owners to get their insight to the business, their art techniques, stories from interactions with their customers.  The blog is just a portal to information about the different shops and the stories of those walking epidural canvasses we call people.

My first goal is to interview those people who want to tell their story. They don't have to beautiful or cuddly. Just humans who want to share their story. They don't have to show their face, the emphasis is on the art and the motivation behind the art.

So if you want your story shared go to http://www.okctatooportal.com/index.html and complete the contact form and I will get back with you.
